Young wheatgrass from 7 to 8 days old is full of nutrients. Unfortunately it is very difficult to digest, because there is a lot of fiber inside. You could chew it like gum to get the nutrients out. That takes some time and so it is easier to squeeze out the grass in a press. The Versapers is well suited to do so. Out of 100 grams of fresh grass you get about 60 cc of fresh grass juice. The taste is not really appealing but when you realize how many vitamins and minerals there are inside it will be easy to drink. The additional advantage is that the nutrients from the fresh juice are very easily and well absorbed by your body. You could also take a vitamin pill with the same nutrients as content. But although the vitamins are in the pill, they are not as well absorbed by your body.

There are many big benefits of drinking fresh grass juice.

  • Improves your condition and cleanse your body
  • Gives energy and strength
  • Improves the functioning of your intestines
  • Provides the vitamins and minerals that are essential for optimal health
  • Prevents various disorders and diseases or help you to recover faster

This is just a sample of the actual benefits. If you want to know more, I recommend you to read the book “The Wheatgrass Book” by Ann Wigmore. Once you get used to it and you take your daily shot of wheatgrass you really feel the power flow into your body. Wheatgrass is now better known and presented, because it has been proven that it contains more vitamins and minerals in comparison with other vegetables and grasses. The only problem is the strong and intensive taste, which the first few times even could give you a tendency to vomit. Keep drinking and you get used to the taste.

You can also make good juice out of barley grass. The composition and taste are a bit different.
